Biggest year end concert with Red Bull Sri Lanka

Red Bull Sri Lanka rocked the massive crowds who gathered at the Stein Studios Ratmalana on 14 December at what was undoubtedly the coolest concert of the year.

The concert saw the crème de la crème of Sri Lanka’s musical talent Bathiya and Santhush, who together with the ever-popular Lahiru Perera, founder of the famed percussion ensemble Naadro, Rakitha Ruwan Wickramaratne, YouTube sensation Anushka Udana of Wasthi Productions and the famous wrap and professional percussionist Saranga aka Rapzila, keep audiences enthralled during a three-hour musical extravaganza.  

The concert also saw four young musicians, namely Yohani, Minura, Shashika and Suhail representing three genres, pop, baila and folk fusion, perform alongside these music giants on the same stage backed by the famous band Taxi.  

This was indeed a once in a lifetime opportunity for the young, aspiring musicians to make their debut alongside industry giants, and Red Bull was proud to be their launching pad. This is just the beginning of a whole new music culture as Red Bull is planning to stage this show annually, giving wings to young talent islandwide. Red Bull has a huge music presence globally and these artists will get their chance to access the knowledge and expertise of global music giants through this unique experience.
