Bharatha Natyam recital by ICCR Scholar Abiramy Patkunam today

Bharatha Natyam 

Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), High Commission of India, Colombo, will be organising a Bharatanatyam Recital by Abiramy Patkunam at 6 p.m. on 6 September at SVCC auditorium located at 16/2, Gregory’s Road, Colombo 7. 

Abiramy Patkunam is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, who has trained under legends such as Guru Prof. C.V. Chandrashaker, Guru V.P. Dhananjeyan (Bharathakalanjali), Guru Shijith Krishna Chennai, and Guru Kiran Subramanyam. She completed her Masters of Arts (Bharatanatyam) from the University of Madras and is an ICCR scholarship-holder of Bachelors of Arts (Choreography) at Bangalore University.   

She has worked as a Bharatanatyam teacher at Hindu College, Bambalapitiya, and Gateway International School, Colombo. She worked as a choreographer for many of the productions of Aru Sri Art Theatre, including Ramayanam, Sakunthalam, Anupavam, and Uthuruvasantham.
