Ambassador Thassim holds discussions with CEO of Saudi ARAMCO

Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Azmi Thassim met with Amin H. Nasser, the President and CEO of Saudi oil company ARAMCO, on 5 February in their headquarters. ARAMCO is the world’s largest oil company by revenue and manages Saudi Arabia’s 332.9 billion barrel proved oil reserve. 



At this amicable meeting, both parties discussed in detail on the operations of ARAMCO. Nasser underlined that, at present, ARAMCO is the most reliable energy provider in the world.Ambassador Thassim pointed out that Sri Lanka’s energy demand is growing and therefore we need to see all possible avenues to secure our future energy need. In this context, both parties discussed the opportunities for future collaboration in the energy sector among Governments of Sri Lanka-Saudi Arabia and ARAMCO.Minister Counsellor, Madhuka Wickramarachchi and Desk Officer/Bilateral Affairs A.L.M. Jabeer associated with the Ambassador at this meeting.
