Introducing ‘Zero Effective Cost’ education concept – first time in Sri Lanka by PIBT

PIBT (www.pibtsl.com) HND in Software Engineering/Networking is a broad-based NVQ Level 6 accredited Business/IT qualification which gives you a solid grounding in the principles of business for careers and computing for careers in systems analysis, network engineering, database analysis and design, technical support or software engineering. 

Students can choose the pathway to specialise in a specific area based on your interests including Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Software Engineering, and Network Engineering. The academic qualification is equal to the second year qualification of a three-year BSc (hons) degree in UK or Australia. Students can chose between direct progression to the third year of an honours degree from UK and Australia.

Paid internship organised by the PIBT industrial placement division will make the effective cost for the program ‘zero’ with the Rs. 100,000 scholarship offered to the students selected in the full-time program which is the fastest path for the competition of UK or Australian Honours Degree in Sri Lanka or abroad. 

In addition to learning new technical, business and social skills, you have the same opportunity as any other employee to contribute to live projects where students end up with qualification, experience at zero effective cost. One year full-time and 18 months part-time (weekends) programs, consist of four semesters and each semester will have four modules in parallel. Syllabus is updated every year according to the new trending in the world. The focus of HND is on practical knowledge, all units are evaluated through continuous assignments and assessments such as assignments, reports, presentations, group works, practical work, exams, projects built into the program for authentication of knowledge gained.
