Colombo’s first Turkish restaurant, Ankara has opened doors to a variety of banquet options for every type of personal and corporate event. Not limited to an exquisite fine-dining experience Ankara also has ample space for wedding receptions, corporate trainings, birthday and anniversary celebrations, and even private family gatherings.

Ankara offers an upscale, yet casual dining experience that celebrates the rich diversity of Turkish food and culture through a blend of classic and contemporary menu offerings and superb hospitality. A great variety of mouthwatering dishes in Turkish cuisine, which is mostly drawn from the heritage of the Ottomans are served up for both lunch and dinner at the restaurant. 

The 8,000sq ft heritage house that Ankara occupies allows it to provide eight dining experiences from the Royal Service restaurant for up to 40 people, a café with 35 seating capacity, and banqueting facilities for up to 100pax. Ankara also boasts three different fully audio visual equipped private dining rooms for up to 35pax each, designed for private, personal, or business functions.

Istanbul Salonu or the buffet service area has a 100 seat capacity and is even ideal for a small wedding reception. The Pastane located at the entrance of the restaurant which serves Turkish sweet delights with Turkish coffee invites guests to enjoy comfortable sofas while watching Turkish tourism on wide screen TV, or reading up on the sight and sounds of a wonderful country.

For those who prefer private dining or meeting rooms Antalya Odasi, Izmir Odasi and Bodrum Odasi can seat up to a maximum of 25, 20 and 35 respectively in a choice of arrangements from classroom to thatre style. Each of the rooms is equipped with audio visual systems making them the ideal venue for corporate meetings and small group training programmes.  One of the highlights of the venue is the ladies private function room Nargile Odasi which comes with comfortable sofas for the ladies to enjoy while having a tête-à-tête. While the ladies enjoy their company, the gentleman can also enjoy shisha and dine outdoors in the open kitchen serving doner kebabs and shawarmas at Ankara’s outdoor café Açik Hava Cafési.
