SLLS and UITEMATE to hold lifesaving and water survival floating instructor program

Sri Lanka Life Saving (SLLS) will be hosting a modern water survival and floating training campaign in collaboration with the Japan Society of Water Rescue and Survival Research (UITEMATE) for currently active Instructors attached to SLLS.

The main objective of this program is to update, refresh and educate participants with modern lifesaving methods as well as practical methods of water survival and floating in line with international lifesaving and water safety standards. The training will be conducted by eight Japanese trainers sanctioned by the Nagaoka University of Technology.

The following is the schedule for the special program:  

4 March at Mount Lavinia Beach – UITEMATE Surf Instructor Course for 120 SLLS active Instructors from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

5 March at Sri Lanka Police Swimming Pool - special program for school kids with the support of the Sri Lanka Police Lifesaving Team from 9 a.m.-11.30 p.m.

6 March at Bentota – Special program for school kids from 2 p.m.-6 p.m.
