Ladybird Teacher Training Program with Expographic Books

Ladybird recently held a teacher training session in Colombo. Organised in association with Expographic Books, and attended by nearly 80 primary school teachers and local book distributors, the program introduced its popular reading series Ladybird Readers, Read It Yourself and Ladybird Classics, as well as providing practical strategies and suggestions for using classic stories and readers in the classroom.  

The session was run by internationally recognised author, teacher trainer and ELT course writer, Dani Mundy. 

Ladybird Head of Education Development Caroline Newbury commented: “We are incredibly lucky that Ladybird Books have been widely read in Sri Lanka for many years, so it was a real privilege for us to be able to run this training session to support teachers who already use our stories in their classrooms.  It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm for teaching from all the attendees and hope that we can continue to help them to spark a love of reading in all their young learners.”
