In accordance with the Vision 2025 Policy document put forward by the Government, the Enterprise Sri Lanka Programme was launched by Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera with the aim of creating 100,000 entrepreneurs by 2025. The program has so far approved credit facilities amounting to over Rs. 80 billion.

The first exhibition was held in Monaragala in August 2018 followed by the exhibition in Anuradhapura in July 2019. After the two very successful events, the third exhibition of the series is scheduled to be held in Jaffna – from 7 to 10 September 2019 at the Mutraveli Grounds (in front of the Jaffna Dutch Fort).

The exhibition is set to draw at least 400,000 people from around the northern and eastern provinces, as it is the first national exhibition taking place in the region in over two decades.

To uplift the skillset of the local artisans and potential entrepreneurs, a series of workshops have been organised parallel to the exhibition.
