Textrip bags Silver at NCE Awards

Textrip Ltd., a subsidiary of the Elasto Group of Companies which has a proud history of over 70 years in the rubber industry, won the Silver Award of National Level, Medium Category, Rubber Sector at the Export Excellence Award 2019 organised by the National Chamber of Exportes. 

Textrip Managing Director Mangala Gunasekera received the prestigious Silver Award at the gala event held at Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo. “It is the team effort we are after and not for the personal glory,” said Gunasekera, the young amiable technocrat referring to his company’s success. 

The Elasto Group of Companies was incorporated by the renowned philanthropist late Eng. Donald Gunasekera with his brother late Wilson Gunasekera. The duo brought the companies to the pinnacle of Sri Lankan economic landsscape to make Elasto a household name. R&D work was at the core of Elasto Group and in consequence the Texstretch progressive resistance band became the rightful prodigy under Textrip Ltd.  

Texstretch, the world famous brand under the product portfolio of Textrip Ltd., has now invaded 27 countries in the world from USA and Europe to Pacific Rim Countries with newest members now joining to the list. In addition to the resistance bands Textrip manufactures and supplies baby cot sheets, mackintoshes, and a range of other rubber products. 

Textrip is in the business of manufacturing polymer equipment for leading brands of the world. Therefore it has continuously received plaudits by way of recognition showered upon it by various institutions and trade chambers with Textrip bagging six awards of high reckoning so far. Textrip is in the forefront of CSR activities by taking wellness awareness programs to the doorsteps of the health and/or sports savvy.
