Talks with EU to boost SME tourism

A delegation led by Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sri Lanka (FCCISL) Secretary General and CEO Ajith D. Perera, along with Chamber of Tourism and Industry President A.M. Jaufer and Secretary-General U.P.S. Pathirana met an official of the European Union (EU) at the EU Colombo office last week. 

At this meeting, the chamber requested EU representatives to assist revive rural tourism, focusing on the SME tourism sector in the country. Minister of Counsellor and Head of Cooperation Frank Hess, Mission Deputy Head and Head of Political, Trade and Communications Thorsten Bargfrede, and Program Manager Harshini Halangode were among the EU Representatives.
