Swisstek appoints two new directors to board

Swisstek (Ceylon) Plc has announced the appointment of two new directors to its board.

K. Don Gamini Gunaratne has been appointed an Independent Non-Executive Director and Anthony Shirley Mahendra has been made a Non-Executive Director.

Gunaratne is the Chairman of Lanka Hotels and Residences Ltd. and Urban Investments and Development Company. He is also a Director of Lanka Walltiles Plc, Lanka Tiles Plc, Lanka Ceramic Plc and Dipped Products Plc and is an alternative Director of Horana Plantations Plc. He studied at S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia and was a Member of the Western Province Council from 1989-2009.

Mahendra is the General Manager - Marketing of Lanka Walltiles Plc, Lanka Tiles Plc and Swisstek (Ceylon) Plc. He is also a Director of Swisstek Aluminum Ltd. He has 30 years of working experience in the field of sales and marketing. He holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Colombo and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He is also a Chartered Marketer and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing - UK.
