Swiss Ceylon Associates brings Sri Lankan and Swiss values to new dimension

Newly established Swiss Ceylon Associates Ltd., aims to bring Sri Lankan and Swiss values to a new dimension benefiting a range of key economic and social sectors. 

The aim is to support the countries by transferring knowhow and business knowledge and help to improve the key industries of the countries to sustain an export oriented economy.

The Company was founded by citizens of Sri Lanka and Switzerland who have the bond of friendship for many decades and is aiming to create a sustainable organisation for the next generation of their families whom they have included in the development and expansion of the organisation to the next century.

The main partners of Swiss Ceylon Associates Ltd. are Manilal Fernando, Chairman Stallion Group of Companies, Attorney-at Law and Former Chairman of a Swiss Company for over 20 years and Thomas Daetwyler, Honorary Consul General of Latvia and Former Chairman of a Swiss Company with over 25 years in Sri Lanka.

All understand the markets they are dealing in and are aiming to create a sustainable platform for transfer of knowhow, education, goods and services for the benefit of Sri Lanka and Switzerland but not restricting itself to those countries.

“Sri Lanka and Switzerland have a lot in common from innovation, technology, hospitality, exports and a multicultural society with an ideal location in and close to the fastest growing markets in Asia and Europe,” a spokesman said. 

“The organisation does not aim to create short term profits but a sustainable future for the benefit of all stakeholders. Cooperation is mainly but not only sought with the SME segment who believes in long term development and loyalty. One of the main pillars is the respect for the citizens of both countries and its employees,” he added.

The fan in the company logo represents both the different business areas and regions as well the openness to the different cultures.
