‘Supiripola’: New e-commerce platform joins fight against COVID-19

‘Supiripola’ (www.supiripola.lk) is launched to ensure seamless delivery of essential items nationwide with immediate effect. The test deliveries will be made within Colombo 1-15 in the first few days and will rapidly expand island-wide within next week.

The platform will primarily focus on delivering a selected pack of essential items priced very affordably and will gradually expand its product portfolio.

Supiripola is a subsidiary of Supreme Global Holdings and will use the group’s resources including Media, Satellite Technology, Fintech, Automobile Network, and Robotics/AI capabilities to make sure that deliveries are made to the remotest locations in Sri Lanka at the most competitive and fair pricing.

Whilst traditional payment methods such as ‘Cash on Delivery’, online payment to the bank account and credit cards are accepted, the unique feature of Supiripola will be its ability to structure centralised buying arrangements for large corporates and institutions, thus making sure that they can cater to thousands of their employee base, taking away this huge burden from the state.

Supiripola will ensure that the large employee base will not have the need to use cash or credit cards, but will use the corporate coupons instead, promoting cashless transactions which is the need of the hour.
