Sri Lanka Technological Campus joins hands with EDEX 2019

In a groundbreaking initiative, Sri Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC), Sri Lanka’s fastest growing university, has partnered as the Exclusive Platinum Plus sponsor of the EDEX Higher Education Expo 2019, the country’s largest education exhibition. The EDEX Expo is to be held from 18-20 January at the BMICH in Colombo and 25-26 at the Kandy City Centre. This partnership is indicative of the commitment SLTC has towards providing greater opportunities to a wider cross-section of post-secondary students of Sri Lanka to excel in their higher education and to meet the expectations of their future employers. 

The official signing ceremony was held in the presence of Sri Lanka Telecom PLC Group Chairman Kumarasinghe Sirisena, SLTC President/CEO Eng. Ranjith G. Rubasinghe, SLTC Director – Operations Eng. Ranjith Gunawardena, SLTC Head of Finance Mahesh De Silva and Royal College Union Secretary Mithila Mendis, EDEX Chairman Mahinda Galagedara, EDEX Secretary Bimal Perera, EDEX main expo Asst. Secretary Thilak Thilakaratne, EDEX midyear expo Chairman Nishan Jayalath, Attorney-at-law Asendra Siriwardane, and Director Sponsorship Nadun Hettiarachchi. 

Speaking at the event, SLTC Chairman Kumarasinghe Sirisena said, “One of SLTC’s founding objectives was to produce globally employable graduates who are capable of uplifting the quality of life of their communities. EDEX Expo has also embarked on this initiative with a similar objective of empowering Sri Lankan youth to be globally competitive. Going forward, we are happy that with this partnership we could jointly foster these objectives.”  

SLTC Founder President/CEO Eng. Ranjith Rubasinghe said, “We at SLTC are happy to partner as the Platinum Plus sponsor of the EDEX Expo this year. SLTC is just four years old but have taken giant strides in establishing it as Sri Lanka’s fastest growing university. EDEX, being the largest education and career guidance platform available in the country, together with SLTC will be able to add a cutting edge engineering and technological outlook to the expo.”
