Senani Products Pandura becomes the Best Woman Entrepreneur in Western Province

Senani Products Ltd., popularly known for selling garcinia products, was named the proud winner of Silver Award in Medium Category at Western Province Entrepreneurship Awards 2019 organised by the National Entrepreneurship Development Authority, in collaboration with the national Chamber of Commerce. Senani Products Director Jenika Senani Warusavithana was recognised as the Best Woman Entrepreneur in the Western Province. 

Having started with a mere investment of 1,000 rupees back in 2007 Senani products has come a long way in a short period. The company’s introductory product was a traditional goraka (garcinia) paste which received a high demand in the market. It was followed by goraka chutney, which can be consumed with bread, roti, hoppers and pittu. Goraka chutney is not only a remedy for high cholesterol, but also a tasty food that can be given to children too. 

Now Senani Products manufacture a wide range of consumable products including goraka pieces, tempered sprats, chili paste, tamarind paste, tamarind chutney ambarella (June plum) chutney and spices. Today, Senani Products has a considerable market share due to quality, freshness and non-use of artificial preservatives and chemicals. Senani is a name that goes with quality and all their products have been able to win the consumers’ trust. 

Senani Products are exported to Japan, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and many other countries. It is proud to have won many awards and accolades including national Vidatha Award, Best Woman Entrepreneur Award, Best Small Scale Business of Kalutara District and Cargills Veera Award.
