Seminar on China’s Reforms, Belt & Road Initiative and Communist Party of China today

A seminar on ‘China, Belt & Road Initiative of Communist Party of China’ organised by the Pathfinder Foundation together with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China is scheduled to be held today (22 May) at the Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo. This event is organised on the occasion of the visit of a four-member delegation from the International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC). 

The delegation will lead by Gu Yueli, Professor of Law and the Vice President of the Fujian Provincial Party School. The other members of the delegation are XU Qingping, Head of Economic Management Department at CPC Yunan Provincial Party School, HU Wanjun, Division Director at China Center for International Exchanges of IDCPC and ZhANG Shaoqi, staff member at China Center for International Exchanges of IDCPC.

The speeches to be delivered in the seminar will focus on four themes:

(1)40 years of China’s reform and opening up 

(2)The Belt and Road Initiative 

(3)Xi Jinping Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era 

(4)The Process of Party Building of the Chinese Communist Party. 

This invitee only seminar will be attended mainly by academics of universities, professionals and young generation of scholars. The seminar will end with a one-hour question and answer session where participants will find opportunity to express their opinions and raise questions.
