Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the national telecommunications provider, launched its newest product, ‘PEO TV BIZ’, providing a multiple-TV solution to the requirements of Small and Medium Enterprises sector in the country. Under this service, five to 15 TV points will be provided over a single fibre connection.

Currently, SLT offers multiple PEO TV solutions in mainly two methods, Multiple PEO TV via FTTH (up to three TV points) and Enterprise PEO TV via dedicated fibre (above 15 TV points).

With the growth of the country’s tourism industry, the popularity of mid-range hotels and boutique villas have been increasing rapidly amongst many foreign and local tourists. As internet facility and TV service have become a mandatory requirement at these places, the market opportunity will be massive for this new product. It is expected that this service will be popular in other public places such as supermarkets, hospitals, etc.

Powered by IPTV Technology, the new service will not be interrupted by the rain as it is a wired connection. High reliability, specifically designed packages to cater to hotels guests’ requirements, running on structured (Cat 5/Cat 6) cable infrastructure at customer premises and no obstructions to the outward appearance are few of the other benefits of the service.
