SLPA announces new measures for cargo shipment services

The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) yesterday outlined measures taken to ensure uninterrupted cargo shipment services at Colombo Port.

According to the statement released by the Government Information Department, the SLPA has set up a special coordination office to deal with port related problems. They can be contacted via [email protected] or 0112435861, 0112482478, 0773110040 and 0716570773.

Port entry permits will double as curfew passes and entry permits that were issued in 2019 have had their validity extended till May 2020. The police have also announced special numbers 011 5978708 and 011 5978738 for logistics companies to get curfew passes for port related duties.

For Customs related issues the numbers announced by the SLPA were 0714458476, 0777273879 and 0777300372. The SLPA assured it will coordinate with the police, Customs and other institutions to provide a seamless service.
