Round Table Sri Lanka conducts strategy execution module for Marketing Management Dept. undergrads

Round Table Sri Lanka (RTSL) is a fellowship and community service organization that contributes in developing the skills of Sri Lankan youth. Executing its plan of partnering with universities, RTSL partnered with the Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya in conducting ‘Strategy Execution’ module of Diploma in People Skills. 

The Diploma in People Skills is a unique program launched by the Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya in 2014 with the purpose of motivating the students to achieve greater heights in both their professional and personal lives. It takes the undergraduates through a transformation of skills and attitudes to make them employment ready graduates. RTSL’s contribution as a module delivery partner in this unique Industry-University collaboration has given undergraduates the opportunity to learn from the industry’s best.

RTSL shared in-class and webinar sessions on diverse topics such as time management, excellence in planning, being responsible, executing with discipline, taking risks etc. enabling the students to engage in interactive discussions with RTSL members. Apart from the opportunity of learning through the expertise of RTSL members, this partnership enables the students to participate in voluntary projects organised by RTSL. 

Hayleys Advantis Director Ibrahim Saleem, Carmart CEO Yasendra Amarasinghe, PickMe Founder Jiffry Zulfer, Baby Bear Founder Rae Devadason, Stripes and Checks Co-Founder Gajan Vinothan, InsureMe.lk Founder Vipula Dharmapala, National Cricketer and Coach Jehan Mubarak, Hayleys Advantis Head of E-Commerce Solutions Niraj Gomes and Expolanka Freight Global Head of Compliance and Supply Chain Security Abdul Qadir Uvais were among the RTSL members who contributed in sharing their experience in Diploma in People Skills as qualified practitioners in the industry. 

Their contribution will significantly assist the undergraduates of the Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya in shaping their future careers.
