The Government has decided not to increase the prices of three of the four fuel types at this time.

The Ministry of Finance announced that only the price of 92 Octane petrol will be increased with effect from midnight 10 June, based on the pricing formula.

Accordingly, the price of a liter of 92 Octane petrol will be increased by Rs. 3 to R. 138.

Price of liter of 95 Octane petrol will remain at Rs. 164, Super Diesel at Rs.136 and Auto Diesel at Rs.104.

Although fuel prices have increased in world market since March, the fuel prices have not been increased in the local market to help the consumers during the festive season.

However, a declining trend in the fuel prices in the world market has been observed lately and accordingly, the Ministry of Finance says measures will be taken to provide the consumer with this advantage if the trend continues.
