PCR tests on a group of 200 randomly selected employees were carried out on 3 November at the Port of Colombo to ensure the safe health of the employees who are committed to maintaining the continuity and quality of efficient operations at the Port.

These tests carried out at the Boat Yard premises is another effective step taken by the Management of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) to ensure the continued safety of its employees and port users.

Operations at the Port of Colombo are continuing and every step has been taken to ensure the health and safety of all those involved in the operation of the Port and all related services amidst the high epidemic situation that has arisen throughout the country. The health instructions extended by the health authorities have also been duly implemented.

Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) Chairman General Daya Ratnayake, Additional Managing Director (Operations) Upul Jayatissa and Additional Managing Director (Technical) Susantha Abeysiriwardena were also present to inspect the PCR tests carried out at the port premises.
