NCE to participate at the Jaffna International Trade Fair 2019

The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka, will participate at the Jaffna International Trade Fair for the 6th consecutive year, commencing on 25 January.  

This Trade Fair is organised by Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services (LECS). Member exporters of the NCE will occupy 10 stalls at the exhibition to promote their products and services in an ‘Exports Brands Pavilion’, to explore business with visiting international buyers, as well expand their local sales.  

The National Institute of Exports (NIOE) which is the professional training affiliate of the NCE will have a separate stall in the Education Pavilion at the exhibition to promote the professional courses conducted by the NIOE among export-related stakeholders in the Northern Province. Currently the NIOE conducts three professional courses at the Certificate, Advanced Certificate, and Diploma levels on International Trade Management.Additionally the NIOE conducts online courses which facilitates the execution of ‘Cross Border Trade Transactions’ efficiently and in a cost-effective manner.  These online training courses are particularly beneficial to employees in export-oriented enterprises, as well as school-leavers who wish to embark on a career in the field of exports, with the advantage of being able to follow the online programs at their own leisure while being employed or engaged in other educational activities.

The NCE will also lead a delegation of 8 export-oriented member companies with NCE and NIOE staff members, to gain first-hand experience on the activities of the Exhibition, explore opportunities to develop trade with producers in the Northern Province, as well as to enhance their export-related business activities by interacting with overseas buyersvisiting the event.
