Latest Sunrise magazine for senior citizens out

The latest January-February Sunrise magazine for senior citizens is now available at Vijitha Yapa bookshops, Sarasaviya bookshop and Barefoot and also through the Sunrise office.

The Sunrise magazine devoted exclusively to Sri Lanka’s senior citizens, is a publication that comes out once, every two months. The latest issue has some interesting articles on Sri Lanka’s foremost brain doctor, the meaning of Thai Pongal, wellness with Yoga, resolutions for the New Year, wise investments with your hard earned money, and many more.

It also has letters from readers, recipes and jokes to keep this important sector of the population entertained.

Initially launched in the year 2017, it was re-launched with an experienced editorial team in mid-2018, and so far five issues of the popular magazine have been published.

The magazine not only caters to readers of this vintage but also others including policy-makers, business professionals, academics and students interested in this growing segment of society. The magazine is published by the not-for-profit Sunrise Senior Foundation (SSF) with an eminent board comprising T. Someswaran, Kumar Nadesan, Tissa de Alwis, Dr. Pramilla Senanayake, Tilak de Zoysa and Feizal Samath.
