LMD releases 2018 ‘A-List of Sri Lankan Businesspeople’

Pioneering business magazine LMD has released its ‘A-List of Sri Lankan Businesspeople’ – the launch edition of what it says will be an annual list of leading corporate personalities, which pays tribute to the front-runners in 2018.

Based on nominations received from LMD’s contributors, as well as an in-house think tank led by the magazine’s editorial and senior management teams, this year’s hall of fame showcases 50 leaders from among the best in Sri Lanka’s corporate and professional communities.

“This year’s lineup is led by men and women who helm the nation’s trailblazing conglomerates, followed by the banking and finance industry,” says a spokesperson for LMD. 

She continues: “Sector-wise, hotels and travel, manufacturing, apparel and retail also feature prominently, and there are representatives from construction and engineering, e-commerce, motor, power and energy, real estate, technology and telecommunications too.” 

“In terms of professions, bankers and accountants have a notable presence in the 2018 A-List while the nation’s entrepreneurs also make their mark,” the spokesperson observes.

LMD, which is Media Services’ flagship publication, will be released to bookstores and supermarkets on Monday 5 November, its publisher says.
