Jit Gunaratne retires from JKH

Popular corporate personality Jit Gunaratne has retired from John Keells Holdings Plc.

Prior to his retirement he was President, John Keells Holdings Plc. He has also stepped down from several Boards he served including John Keells Plc, Asian Hotels and Properties PLc, Trans Asia Hotels Plc, John Keells Hotels Plc, Tea Smallholder Factories Plc.

He had 40 years of management experience covering plantation, retail, leisure and property sectors.

Jit was responsible for the Leisure industry group and the Plantation Services sector of JKH. 

Prior to his appointment at Leisure, he was the President of the Consumer Foods industry group. 

He had served as a member of the Council of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon, was the President of the Beverage Association of Sri Lanka and a member of the Food Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Health.
