Hemas FMCG supports Sri Lankan Army’s fight against coronavirus

Supporting the nation that is using every means to combat the spread of the coronavirus among citizens, Hemas FMCG donated a large quantity of personal care items to the Sri Lanka Army recently.

Over 10,000 assorted bars of Shield soap, and other personal care products including Clogard toothpaste, Clogard smart toothbrushes and Kumarika shampoo were donated to the Sri Lanka Army towards the comfort of the individuals in the quarantine centres located across the country. The items were handed over by the Hemas FMCG activation team to the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, who also heads the National Operational Centre for Prevention of COVID-19.

Our country’s success in tackling the coronavirus effectively is also heavily dependent on the actions that organisations take and it is our responsibility to help authorities battle the coronavirus pandemic. We are immensely grateful to Sri Lanka Army and the armed forces in ensuring the quarantine centres have all the required facilities for the well-being of individuals who are being monitored. We are also grateful to all the healthcare workers and those who continue to remain at the front lines helping to prevent the virus from spreading and keeping the public safe,” noted Hemas Manufacturing Director Marketing Fiona Juriansz Munasinghe.
