Gowri Rajan invited to India

One of Sri Lanka’s Top 50 business women of World Banks (IFC)/WIM award winners Gowri Rajan has been invited by Rotary Indian (District 3212) as the Chief Guest to address the youth of India in the world of Rotary.

Rajan who is the first female Governor for Rotary Sri Lanka hailing from Kandy is the Director for market leader brand Soorya and has also served the global management team of Rotary International and respected personality for youth leadership and training in Sri Lanka. The Governor of Sri Lanka venerable Somawansa Thero commented, “We are honoured that a Sri Lankan business personality and Rotarian has been selected to celebrate this sought after event of Rotary in India.” He went on to state that, “With such initiatives on diplomacy we must support the macro trade and development initiatives of Sri Lanka so that Sri Lanka can further penetrate the current Free Trade Agreement we have with the government of India.
