David Bent, world-leading advisor on sustainable business based in the UK, specialist member of Good Karma Consultants, will be sharing his insights on how companies can succeed in our increasingly sustainability-challenged times.

Good Karma is an insights-based solutions lab that provides strategically creative solutions to corporate, brand and development challenges, from a socially sensitive vantage point. Good Karma’s partners Sandya Salgado and Yamindra Watson Perera work closely with David to bring both a global and local perspective to sustainability issues and opportunities that are relevant to Sri Lankan corporates who are interested in transforming their business model to ensure competitive advantage in the future.

“We are in a time of profound change. Transformation is inevitable. Countries are developing. People have more options as workers, customers and citizens. Globalisation and technological innovation are driving relentless creative destruction. And either we will be forced to adapt to dangerous climate change, or we will transform our economies to avoid it,” says David.

David will share his experiences of working with world-leading companies, who are benefiting from acting now, how they got started and how they spotted the next investment to profit from sustainability. He will also speak about the leading edge of innovation in business, finance and policy around the world.

“There will be winners and losers. The best way to predict the future – and win – is to invent it. You have the choice to innovate so you thrive, and Sri Lanka succeeds, in a sustainable world,” adds David.

While in Sri Lanka David will be conducting a full day workshop for Chamber members, together with individual workshops for specific corporates who are interested in developing a sustainability focused business model, and taking a leadership role in their industries. For more information or to schedule a session with David, you can contact Good Karma at www.goodkarma.lk or the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.

“We are delighted to bring to Sri Lankathe global expertise of David, at a time when the country is gearing to be future ready for the 2025 vision of sustainable development,” said Sandya and Yamindra, who are closely working with the Chamber to make the workshop for the chosen industries relevant and impactful.
