Fairfirst Insurance donates to ‘Fight for COVID-19 Fund’

The management and employees of Allianz Sri Lanka recently joined hands with University Hospital of Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) to provide a High Performance Real Time Quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) machine worth Rs. 4 million to test for COVID-19.  

Allianz Insurance Lanka Ltd. Director/CEO Gany Subramaniam said, “During challenging times like this, it is pivotal for the private sector to collaborate and extend its fullest support to the authorities to help combat the coronavirus pandemic. We applaud the relentless efforts of the armed forces and health professionals in ensuring the impact on public health is minimised. In order to support their efforts further we strongly believe it is essential to have state-of-the-art equipment and solutions that would detect accurately and help flatten the curve. 

“As a global insurance provider committed to the safety and well-being of our communities, we are honoured to assist in providing a High Performance Real Time Quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) machine to test for COVID-19 at the Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU).”
