Following the success of ‘Fireside chat 2018 with Six Bold and Daring Sri Lankan Entrepreneurs’, ICC Sri Lanka and CIMA Sri Lanka will come together again to jointly host ‘Fireside Chat 2019: Featuring leading foreign envoys in Sri Lanka’. The theme of the event is ‘An International Perspective on Sri Lanka’s future’.

This year’s Fireside Chat on 19 March at the Hilton, Colombo will feature leading foreign envoys in Sri Lanka. The event will feature nine foreign ambassadors, from the UK, China, EU, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Netherlands, Canada and Switzerland. The envoys will provide an international perspective on Sri Lanka’s future and will be moderated by ICC Sri Lanka Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody and Daily FT Editor Nisthar Cassim.

The highlight of the event will be the closing session with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, who will discuss some of the key challenges facing Sri Lanka and the way forward. Dhammika Perera, a prominent entrepreneur and investor in Sri Lanka will join the closing session at the upcoming Fireside Chat 2019 to be held for the second consecutive year. Perera will thereafter join the PM for a joint session to discuss challenges and opportunities in the business sector in country.

Perera is a first-generation entrepreneur in Sri Lanka and the driving force behind a syndicate of companies in the country. His business interests include Hydropower Generation, Shipping, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Entertainment, Banking and Finance. His holding company, Vallibel One Group, has stakes in all these sectors, through its various subsidiaries, which employ 60,000 people, with 1,880 based in countries other than Sri Lanka.

Emovyz is happy to be associated with the Fireside Chat as a joint partner to provide live engagement between the moderators, discussion panel and the audience.

Emovyz is a revolutionary solution that offers a new paradigm to harness customer and employee insights in real-time. With Emovyz, businesses can visualise their path ahead, transform themselves and create a special emotional connection with their stakeholders like never before.

The solution is powered by Emojot Inc. – a start-up headquartered in Silicon Valley, USA – and is the brainchild of a dynamic set of experienced Sri Lankan technology professionals.

Emovyz was proud to have been partnered with CIMA and ICCSL in being the engagement partner for the inaugural version of Fireside Chat with Sri Lankan entrepreneurs in 2018. More than 150 questions were posed by the audience using Emovyz during the two-hour event, and the mechanism was a huge success to the organisers to efficiently manage the event using disruptive technology.

This exclusive event will draw a large number of corporate and business leaders in Sri Lanka. Emovyz is excited to provide innovative technology for the audience to interactively engage with the guest speakers, for this year’s event as well.
