The EDB organised a seminar for women entrepreneurs on Thursday, 21 September in District Secretariat, Monaragala with the objective of development of women entrepreneurs to enter the international market.
The seminar focused on Introduction of female entrepreneurs to the export market, Food processing and preservation, Export Procedure, Quality Requirements for International Trade, Export and Market Opportunities, Importance of E-Commerce to Business and Financial Literacy.
More than 120 women entrepreneurs have participated at the seminar and the seminar was followed by a business clinic and the factory visits.
The seminar was organised by EDB with the assistance of the Monaragala District Secretariat, Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Monaragala and National Development Bank.
