  • Receives the second accolade in a week – Adjudged Best Exporter in the Ceramic and Porcelain Based Product Category at Presidential Export Awards 2018/19

Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC, Sri Lanka’s premier manufacturer of porcelain tableware recently announced that the company was adjudged winner of the Gold award in the large-scale industrial sector for Ceramics and Porcelain products category at the recently concluded NCE Export Awards 2019. 

Awarded by the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE), this accolade is the second the company has won within a period of one week as it bagged the award for the Best Exporter in the Ceramic and Porcelain Based Product Category at Presidential Export Awards 2018/19; two of many that the company has won over its 36 years of rich heritage and plating of gastronomy in Sri Lanka and over the world.

The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) has been conducting the NCE Export Awards for the past 27 years with the objective of recognising and rewarding the excellence of Sri Lankan Exporters who have marked Sri Lanka’s presence in the international market arena through the manufacturing and marketing of local products to global standards. Evaluation of applicants and selection of award winners are usually conducted by a technical panel of professionals who bring in expertise and experiences from various industries related to exports. 

This year’s ceremony was conducted with great pomp and flair, with Ambassador of the EU to the Maldives, Tung-Lai Margue as the chief guest at the award ceremony. Board of Investment Sri Lanka Chairman Mangala Yapa was the guest of honour at this prestigious event.
