DIMO, John Keells joint overall winners at CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards 2019

Diesel and Motor Engineering Plc and John Keells Holdings Plc emerged joint overall winners at the fifth CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards 2019 while bagging several other sector, merit and special awards at the event held on 9 September at Taj Samudra, Colombo.   

Both companies also received recognition under the Top 10 best integrated reports category and sector awards for Diversified Holdings. Under the Special Awards category, DIMO swept the Conciseness and Materiality awards while JKH took home the Value Creation and Diversity Reporting awards. DIMO and JKH shared the SDG Reporting accolade. While DIMO and John Keells Holdings Plc emerged joint overall gold winners, the overall first runner-up position went to LB Finance Plc and the joint overall second runners-up were National Development Bank Plc and Softlogic Life Insurance Plc. 

The awards were presented by Karu Jayasuriya - Speaker of Parliament; Prof. G.L. Peiris - Patron CMA and former minister; Prof. Mervyn King - Chair Emeritus of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) London, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Amsterdam, a member of the Private Sector Advisory Group to the World Bank on Corporate Governance and former Judge of the Supreme Court of South Africa; Prof. Ho Yew Kee - former Professor of Accounting at the National University of Singapore and current Associate Provost (Skills Future and Staff Development) at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).
