Chandima Perera resigns as Gestetner MD, to remain on Board

Chandima Perera has resigned as the Managing Director of Gestetner of Ceylon PLC, but will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director.

The company announced that Executive Director S.T.P. Kahawala has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer.

Chandima was appointed to the Gestetner Board in January 2014 after serving John Keells Group since 1992. Kahawala, who also served John Keells Group, was appointed to the Board in March 2016. He is an incorporated engineer (Engineering Council, UK) and holds a Diploma in Professional Business and Technical Management, with a career span of over 30 years.
