CRT1 and Tharindu bring honour to Sri Lanka at Round Table International World Meeting

cvxcvRound Table International is a global Young Men’s association promoting fellowship and community service in an aim to bring about change in the life of its members as well as communities. Spread over 55 countries and member base of over 32,000 members it has a rich and strong history of over 90 years.

Last week its world meeting was held in Tallin, Estonia and Sri Lanka was in the spotlight grabbing two of the four key awards at the gala night. This included Table of the Year which was awarded to Colombo round Table 1 for a stellar performance in the last year with regular activities being organised locally for both fellowship and community service as well as being present globally in Round Table events. CRT1 Chairman Nadeen Kumarasinghe said it is a great honour to be appreciated globally as it shows how strong the Tabling activities in Sri Lanka are of a world class standard.

Adding further glory to the night, Tabler Tharindu Ameresekere was awarded the prestigious Tabler of the year award for his outstanding contribution to tabling at a local and global level. Tharindu was the Chairman of CRT1 the last year and also involved in the national board as the community service convener. He was also a member of the Global Communications team for Round Table International.
