CCC and ILCCI to organise business delegation to attend Partnership Summit 2019 in Mumbai

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) in association with the Indo Lanka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ILCCI) will be organising a high powered business delegation to attend the 25th edition of Partnership Summit 2019, from 12 to 13 January 2019 in Mumbai, India at the invitation of Minister of Commerce and Industry Shri Suresh Prabhu.

Partnership Summit 2019 is organised by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) in partnership with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and the State Government of Maharashtra. 

The Partnership Summit is a platform for business networking between key stakeholders, to develop best strategies and policies to help countries overcome challenges in improving competitiveness and integrate better into the globalised world. The Summit has regularly featured Head of States and Governments, Ministers, policy makers, CEOs, academicians and thought leaders from all over the world. The previous Partnership Summit engaged delegates from India, Bangladesh, Japan, Myanmar, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and Zambia. 

The main objective of Sri Lanka’s high level participation is to facilitate the delegates to network not only with participants from India but also with 4,000 business personalities attending the Summit from over 50 countries, to strengthen and establish links to promote trade, investment and tourism.

The key speakers of the Summit are: Minister of Commerce and Industry Shri Suresh Prabhu, UAE Minister of Economy Eng Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chief Minister Maharashtra State Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion Secretary of Industrial Policy and Promotion Shri Ramesh Abhishek, Bharti Enterprises Vice Chairman Rakesh Bharti Mittal and CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee.

Partnership Summit 2019 provides the opportunity for participants to directly interact with Senior Government Ministers of India, Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Government Officials from various trade, investment and tourism related institutions in India to discuss trade related issues, and establish contacts by introducing their company products/services and exchange views for further development of trade, investment and tourism between Sri Lanka and India.
