Amunugama to woo youth for jobs

A program for introducing employment opportunities available in the investment zones of the BOI and companies registered in those zones, to unemployed youth, will be conducted on Saturday 16 September commencing at 10 a.m., at the Galagedara Primary School, on the directions of Minister Dr. Sarath Amunugama, Vice President of the SLFP and Chief Organiser, Galagedara.

A large number of vacancies exist in companies registered under the BOI. However rural youth have insufficient acquaintance with the existence of these vacancies, the qualifications required in respect of them and as to how applications should be made for them. Even so, a large number of creative persons having the requisite skills and qualifications live in rural areas. Therefore the Minister points out that a need exists today for acquainting these persons with the existence of these vacancies.
