Set to open its doors in the coming weeks, the Mall at Colombo City Centre has already made a name for itself as the first international mall in Sri Lanka. With a number of globally reputed names having already signed up to be a part of the Mall, Colombo City Centre promises a new era of world-class experiences that are on par with the greatest capital cities on Earth.

“It’s high time the denizens of Colombo are offered experiences they have long deserved,” said Colombo City Centre CEO Anand Sundaram. “As the first international mall in Sri Lanka, we hope to not only provide a new and exciting place that the whole family can enjoy, but also bring some of the world’s best culinary, retail and entertainment offerings to Sri Lanka.”

Staying true to its reputation as the first integrated lifestyle complex of its kind, the Mall at Colombo City Centre will bring a whole new dimension of shopping, food, and entertainment to the heart of the city.  A selection of high-end local and international brands will make up the majority of the Mall’s massive 200,000 sq.ft. of prime retail space, including Apple or Abans for consumer technology, Body Shop or Spa Ceylon for beauty products, Colombo Jewellery Stores or Swarovski for luxury jewellery, and even ALDO or Mango for fashion among several other familiar names. In addition, the Mall at Colombo City Centre will also host a diverse selection of food and beverage options for every palate, including Sri Lankan favourites and regional specialties from Japan, China, Indonesia, India, Singapore, Portugal, and beyond. Some notable eateries include an outlet that will bring the iconic taste of Singaporean Chicken Rice to Colombo, a high-end dessert bar conceptualised by a three-star Michelin Chef, as well as a tropical island bar that overlooks the historic Beira Lake.  Finally, the Mall at Colombo City Centre will be home to Sri Lanka’s first state-of-the-art multiplex cinema, which features six screens carrying the latest cinema technologies in order to show at least 25 movies per day. One screen, in particular, will showcase 4K Projection, a cinematic advancement never seen before in Sri Lanka.

A highly anticipated addition to the capital’s fast-developing skyline, Colombo City Centre is Sri Lanka’s first BOI-approved mixed development project, slated for completion in early 2019. The $180 Million joint venture between local retail giant, Abans, and Singapore-based Next Story Group is one of Sri Lanka’s largest foreign direct investments in recent times, and rises 47-storeys above the heart of the city. Honoured as the ‘Best Mixed-Use Development’ by PropertyGuru Asia, ‘Most Promising Mixed-Use Development’ by CMO Asia, ‘Asia’s Greatest Brand’ by AsiaOne Magazine, and ‘Upcoming Mall of the Year’ among several other accolades by the Golden Globe Tigers, Colombo City Centre is a multi-award-winning skyscraper dedicated towards transforming Sri Lanka’s capital into a global metropolis with the first integrated lifestyle complex of its kind. This includes Sri Lanka’s first international mall with high-end brands, a 700-seat food court and six-screen multiplex cinema, the upscale NEXT Hotel with 164 keys, and 192 luxurious residential units designed to offer unmatched views of the city, Beira Lake, and Indian Ocean.
