Govt. orders private pharmacies and retail stores to close during curfew

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) has directed all police stations to direct all private pharmacies and retail outlets to close with immediate effect. According to a police press release, the decision was taken after it was observed that retail outlets and supermarkets which were allowed to function, by arranging goods to be delivered also kept retail sales ongoing- ignoring instructions not to do so. All State run Osusala pharmacies will remain open the police said.
