First Sri Lankan to win CRISC Geographic Achievement Award 2011

Damith Pathirage attached to Aitken Spence PLC has earned the world class credential of Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) offered by ISACA in USA and won the  Geographic Achievement Award in recognition for achieving the second highest score in the Asia region, on the June 2011.

  He is also the first Sri Lankan to sit for the exam and successfully complete the certification. CRISC is the most current and rigorous assessment available to evaluate the risk management proficiency of IT professionals, offered by Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) in USA. ISACA holds more than 86,000 IT audit, risk, governance and security professionals around the world. Also he has recently certified for CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) offered by EC Council. Pathirage is a Master of Information Security and Assurance (RMIT University in Australia), an ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and has successfully completed CISA, CISM, BS25999 BCM Implementer certifications. He is presently the Assistant Manager – IT security and Systems Audit at Aitken Spence.
