Parents’ Society of SAITM condemns obstruction of lectures

The Parents’ Society of SAITM in a statement said it strongly condemned the obstruction of lectures of medical students of the University of Colombo. 

“We urge the Hon. Minister of Higher Education to immediately investigate the hidden hand behind the threats carried out by interested parties that prevented the students attending lectures of the said university. We also urge the authorities to immediately look into the complaint lodged by the said students with the Police and bring the persons involved in this cowardly act to justice, as it is preventing a high percentage of bright young students from realising their studies. We also appeal to the parents of all university students to not fall prey to these interested parties who are using the said students for their selfish motives,” the society said in its statement.
