Indian Cricket team celebrates first test victory at Amari Galle

India wrapped up an impressive 304-run victory against Sri Lanka at the first test match of the Sri Lanka vs. India 2017 series. To celebrate this win, the Indian Cricket team was awarded a visit to Amari Galle, a brand-new beachfront property located 10 minutes away from the Galle International Stadium.

The 172-room hotel welcomed the cricketers with a scrumptious lunch at Ahara Gourmet Gallery, Amari Galle’s signature market-style restaurant, with a unique design incorporating live kitchens. The team enjoyed interacting with the chefs whilst experiencing the flavours of Indian, Western and South-east Asian food. Amazed by the authenticity of the Indian dishes, several team members went on to click a few selfies with the hotel’s Indian chef to commemorate their experience.

After lunch, Virat Kohli and his team were seen relaxing by Amari Galle’s expansive swimming pool, sharing their experiences on various social media platforms, and commenting on the relaxing atmosphere and stunning setting of the property.
