Sri Lanka hails support given by China to defeat terrorism

Sri Lanka has hailed the support given by China to defeat terrorism in the country.

State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardene, speaking at an event held at the Galle Face Hotel on Wednesday to mark the 90th anniversary since the founding of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), said that China extended support to Sri Lanka at a crucial time.

Wijewardene also said that Sri Lanka continues to maintain the ‘One China’ policy and this was reiterated by President Maithripala Sirisena during his last visit to China. (Colombo Gazette)
