First Lady of Malaysia Datin Paduka Seri Hjh. Rosmah Mansor donated RM 50,000 (approx $12,000) to flood victims in Sri Lanka at the Iftar program organised by PERMATA at the Official Residence of the Prime Minister this week.

The cheque was handed over in the presence of Dato’ Sri Haji Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, by the First Lady to Sri Lankan High Commissioner A.J.M. Muzammil to help children affected by the recent floods and landslides in Sri Lanka.

The PERMATA Programs were founded in 2007 by YABhg. Datin Paduka Seri Hjh. Rosmah Mansor, who identified several professional groups including educators, academics, physicians, police officers, lawyers and government officials to address her concerns and propose solutions to increasingly prevalent social problems among children. Ferouza Muzammil also participated at this event.
