IN-2

Qatar Ambassador Rashid Shafea Al-Marri met Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake recently to discuss matters relating to the existing excellent bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and Sri Lanka.

The embassy in a media communiqué requested Sri Lankans not to be misled by the baseless fabricated media campaign launched by elements with vested interests and stated that the State of Qatar had taken all necessary measures well ahead of time to assure normalcy would prevail in the day-to-day life of citizens and expatriates.

The embassy further states that the illegal blockade by a few neighboring countries had no negative impact on its economic activities and commercial relations with rest of the world and that had also not affected existing bilateral and multilateral relations with other nations.
