New Foreign Minister says great responsibility on his shoulders

New Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake said yesterday that a great responsibility had been laid on his shoulders to be performed for the country.

He was sworn in as the new Foreign Affairs Minister at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday. Soon after the appointment, he visited the Finance Ministry where he thanked all ministry officials and his private staff who assisted him for the last two and half years to work to improve the lives of the people of this country. 

Addressing staff, Minister Karunanayake said that he was able to perform a tremendous service for the country as the Finance Minister during the past two and half years.
