National Heroes Day 2017

The National Heroes’ Day ceremony was held at the War Memorial near the Parliament Grounds yesterday, under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.

The President paid floral tributes to the fallen soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the motherland.

Members of the clergy, Governors, Ministers, the Secretary to the President, the Secretary of Defense, officials and armed forces chiefs and were also present.
