Japan’s Kansai Paints to make Sri Lanka colourful

• Launches generation next high technology, healthy paints for Sri Lankan homes in partnership with The Capital Maharaja Organisation 

Kansai Paints Ltd. from Japan launched a range of paints in Sri Lanka amidst huge fanfare and celebration at the Steins Studios. Plans for a new production facility in Koggala have also taken off along with the initiation of a well-established distribution channel for Kansai Paint island-wide.

Global giants Kansai is partnering with The Capital Maharaja Organisation Ltd. and has established Kansai Paints Lanka Ltd. with state-of the-art manufacturing capabilities in Koggala. The inauguration ceremony was graced by The Capital Maharaja Organization Ltd. Chairman Managing Director R. Rajamahendran, Kansai Japan International Business Head and Executive Committee Member Katsuhiko Kato, BOI Chairman Upul Jayasurya and members of the Board of Kansai Nerolac India, The Capital Maharaja Organisation and Kansai Paints Lanka Ltd. 

Unveiling the generation next technology in paint, Katsuhiko Kato said, “We are here to bring real change to the Sri Lankan paint market. Sri Lankans are seeing a growth in their economy and an overall improvement in their lifestyles and aspirations. We are therefore bringing you generation next Japanese technology for your painting needs.”

“We have considered the tropical nature of Sri Lankan climate. And to cater to the change that it poses to exterior walls, we introduce Mica Marble finish exterior paints, using mica technology of water resistant and marble to retain shine full.”

He further added, “We also know how Sri Lankans value a clean green environment and home and so we offer paints with no smell, ultra low VOC and no added lead which means a paint that is safer and healthier too. Other features include high-definition colours. Kansai impressions eco clean is power packed with micro embedded brightness boosters (MEBB) a special ingredient added to paint, giving it visibly brighter, more vibrant colours; a true high definition look.
