Fortune Tea Factory equals all-time record price last set in 2011

Fortune Tea Factory, Urubokka equalled an all-time record price of Rs. 910 for an OPA grade in the Low Grown category at the weekly tea auctions held on 4 April 2017. 

This line of tea was purchased by Shan Tea Ltd. Fortune Tea Factory is managed by Andaradeniya Estates Ltd. and owned by Dr. W. Jinadasa. This factory is known to make high-quality tea and has been consistently achieving top prices at the Colombo Tea Auctions. 

Andaradeniya Estates Ltd. produced over eight million kilograms of made tea which placed them the second-largest individual producer in the island in 2016. Fortune Teas are exclusively marketed by Forbes and Walker Tea Brokers Ltd.
