DIMO recognises top TATA Genuine Parts Dealers for 2016

Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO), the authorised distributor for TATA Genuine Parts for TATA Commercial Vehicles, recently held its Annual Dealer Awards at Waters Edge, Battaramulla. 

TATA has been dominating the road transportation industry in Sri Lanka since its introduction in 1961 in passenger and cargo. TATA Genuine Parts (TGP) play an equal important role in maintaining and keeping the commercial vehicles on road. Through the years TGP has proven that there is no better way to maintain the investment and optimise a TATA Commercial vehicle’s performance than by using quality and genuine parts.

Apart from the main dealers who were recognised at the awards ceremony, DIMO was represented by Ranjith Pandithage (Chairman and Managing Director), Gahanath Pandithage (Group CEO), Vijitha Bandara (Director – TATA Division), Navin Seneviratne (General Manager – TATA Genuine Parts), directors, general managers and staff of TATA Genuine Parts.

TATA Motors was represented by Avinash Gupta (Global Head – Spare Parts & Aggregates), Sateesh Machiraju (Regional Manager – South Asia), Jaideep Matkar (Head of Spare Parts – International Business), Anshuman Samanta (Regional Manager Customer Care, SAARC) and Madhu Singh (Country Manager – Sri Lanka).

The colourful and glamorous event saw several dance acts and other entertainment items which kept the event alive, and the guests entertained. Sangeeth Wijesuriya and WAYO kept the dealers and the staff on their toes after the event with some scintillating singing and music. Whilst many awards were given region wise across the country, the best dealer award was won by Pathman Motors of Batticaloa (previously Thaya Motor Stores). 

Vijaya Motors and Spares of Digana won the 1st runners-up award while, Amila Motor Stores of Kottawa won the 2nd runners-up award. TATA Genuine Parts ensures that every part is not only specifically designed for TATA vehicles but also has to pass strict quality control checks to ensure that every vehicle remains as safe and reliable as when you first bought it new.
